Master of Arts in Education, School Psychology Option and PPS School Psychology Credential

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

The Master of Arts in Education, School Psychology option, requires completion of 55-58 units of graduate coursework with a minimum 3.0 grade point average. A minimum of 42 of these units must be completed in residence at CSUS. An additional 39 units are required to obtain the PPS School Psychology Credential. Use of extension courses must be approved by an assigned advisor. Enrollment in Special Problems will only be granted under exceptional circumstances. An outline of the degree requirements follows.

Prerequisite Courses
All prerequisites, or their equivalencies, must be completed before Advancement to Candidacy. Additionally, the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) must be successfully completed before enrolling in any fieldwork experience.
