Program Cost

Program Cost – $2,250

Cost is per person and requires a minimum of 15 persons and a maximum of 20.

Program Cost Includes:

  • Family homestay with two meals a day

  • Two weeks tuition at ICO

  • Textbook and instructional materials

  • Three units academic credit from Sacramento State (lower or upper division)

  • Cultural workshops and exchanges with Mexican students

  • Seminars with Dr. Baird and guest lecturers

  • Guided tour of Monte Albán

  • Travel insurance

Price Does Not Include:

  • Airfare – travel arrangements to Oaxaca via Mexico City will be discussed in orientation meetings

  • Weekend optional tours

  • Laundry – this can be arranged with your family or at local lavanderías

Payment Schedule

March 1, 2011................ First payment of $500 (deposit) and application due
June 1, 2011.................... Final payment of $1,750

Cancellation/Refund Policy

  • Cancellation up to March 31, 2011: Full amount of refund received.

  • Cancellation April 1 – May 30, 2011: All but $150 of amount received will be refunded.

  • Cancellation after May 30, 2011: No refund (unless an approved replacement for the participant can be found).

Program cost of $2,250 is for registration and tuition, family homestay, Sacramento State academic credit, cultural classes and seminar. (Travel to Oaxaca not included.)

Housing

You will live with a welcoming Mexican family within walking distance of the school, eating both breakfast and afternoon comida with them for the 15 days of the homestay. You will have your own room, but will share the house with at least one other ICO student. Laundry is not included.
