Program Cost

Program Cost – REDUCED, now $1,800

Cost is per person and requires a minimum of 15 persons and a maximum of 20.

Program Cost Includes:

  • Family home-stay, double occupancy and two meals a day. Single rooms additional.

  • Two weeks tuition at ICO

  • Textbook and instructional materials

  • 3 units academic credit from Sacramento State

  • Cultural workshops and Intercambios

  • Seminars with Dr. Baird

  • Guided tour of Monte Albán

  • Travel insurance

Price Does Not Include:

  • Travel to and from Oaxaca; airfare from Sacramento to Oaxaca via Mexico City will be discussed in orientation meetings.

  • Weekend optional tours

  • Laundry; this can be arranged with your family or at local lavanderías.

Payment Schedule

May 29, 2009....................First payment $500 (deposit) with application
June 9, 2009..........................Final payment $1,300

Cancelation / Refund Policy

  • Cancellation up to March 31, 2009: Full amount of refund received.

  • Cancellation April 1 – May 30, 2009: All but $150 of amount received will be refunded.

  • Cancellation after May 30, 2009: No refund (unless an approved replacement for the participant can be found).

Program cost is $1,800 for registration and tuition, family home-stay, Sacramento State academic credits, cultural classes and Seminar (travel to Oaxaca not included).

Housing

Participants will live with welcoming Mexican families in walking distance of the school, eating both breakfast and afternoon comida with them for the 15 days of the home-stay. Prices are for double-occupancy, but special arrangements can be made for single rooms, or at a posada/ hostel (in advance). Laundry is not included.
